Itzel Ronquillo

Ballet Instructor

Itzel Ronquillo from El Paso and Cd. Juarez started her ballet training at the age of 5 in a local studio. Years later she continued her training in La Compañía de Ballet de La UACJ under the direction of Maru Becerra and Ballet Nacional de Cuba in La Habana. In 2008, Itzel started college at The University of Texas in El Paso where she continued her training in ballet but was also introduced to contemporary and  participated as a dancer in many original pieces. In 2014 she joined Olga's Russian Ballet School where she continued her training as a dancer and teacher under the Vaganova method and was given the opportunity to train abroad in  New York City in 2015 and Prague Czech Republic in 2016. She has performed as principal in La Fille Mal Gardee as Liz, Don Quixote as Dulcinea and Flowers Festival in Genzano, as a soloist and corp de ballet in La Bayadere, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Chopiniana, and Le Corsaire.  
Now, Itzel is excited to be part of UMDA to continue training our students with strong technique and  artistry to the fullest.
